By Todd Going A glowing, healthy, and vibrant smile is easier to attain than ever before! Cosmetic dentistry has made extraordinary advances over the last few years that make it possible for virtually everyone to have the smile they have always desired. More and more people are discovering how simple and affordable it is to improve their smile and enhance self-esteem and self-confidence as well. Brilliant and dazzling white teeth are no longer the exclusive domain of millionaires and movie stars - now anyone can visit a knowledgeable and experienced cosmetic surgeon and can have a brighter smile in just a short visit or two. The potential of modern cosmetic dentistry is nearly unlimited. The answers to virtually every type of problem including chipped, cracked, or stained teeth, braces and laser dentistry, and even full mouth rehabilitation are well within your reach. Some of the most amazing advances in cosmetic dentistry involve new procedures that reduce or eliminate the pain and trauma that can be associated with a visit to the dentist. Through the magic of sedation dentistry, anxious patients can sleep or be pleasantly distracted from any potential unpleasant aspect of dental procedures. Traditional braces are also becoming relics of the past. New composite materials and strong plastics eliminate the need for unsightly metal braces, headgear, and retainers. Those in need of orthodontics can smile with confidence, for clear and nearly invisible plastic mouthpieces provide all the benefits with few of the drawbacks of earlier appliances. First impressions are one of the most critical parts of any professional or social occasion, and being self-conscious about the appearance of ones teeth can sabotage even the most experienced and poised individual. One of the most innovative procedures to improve the entire smile is a full mouth makeover, which can address a variety of concerns and create an entirely new look. If you want to improve your appearance and gain confidence with a beautiful and attractive smile, now is the time to consult a cosmetic dentist. You will be amazed at how many effective options there are for improving the look of your teeth. Cash Advance Loans and Other Alternatives

Wednesday, December 19th, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Michael_Russell]Michael Russell Cash advance, or payday loans, are the perfect way to make ends meet between paychecks. Or are they? Cash advances otherwise known as check cashing, payday loans, deferred deposit loans, or payroll advance loans, are high interest loans that are easily obtained in a very short time. Obtaining a loan is simple, payday loan companies are all over the internet and are easy to find with a simple search and all you need is a job and a bank account. First you find a company that you wish to do business with, you fill out a simple application giving your employer and bank information. It usually takes an hour or so to find out if you qualify for the first loan, the loan company needs to verify your employment and your bank account. Funds are usually available the next business day as long as the application was submitted before 3 pm. Terms for Payday loans are typically the same, with some variations so make sure you check with each company BEFORE applying for a loan with them. There are usually three payment options to choose from when obtaining a loan; 1. Payoff of Principle and Interest in full 2. Pay down on principle (increments of $50) plus interest renewing balance of principle 3. Pay only interest and renew entire principle Interest rates for these type of loans range anywhere from 391% APR to upwards of 800% APR. Say you obtain a loan for $300. Your interest will probably be around $90 for a 14 day loan, leaving you owing $390. When your next pay period rolls around you pay only the interest and renew the principle. The loan company then automatically withdraws $90 from your bank account, making your new balance $390 for the NEXT pay period. It is very hard to get out from under these types of loans once you get started with them, especially since it is all to easy to go out and get another payday loan from yet another loan company and before you know it you are paying $500-$1200 a month just in interest fees and never being able to pay the principle or any of your other bills for that matter, completely defeating the purpose of obtaining the loan in the first place. Payday loans should be avoided whenever possible. If you find yourself short on funds take a close look at your situation. Ask your employer about an advance on your paycheck, there would be no interest or fees and most employers are sympathetic and it never hurts to ask. Another option would be to talk to your bank or credit union about Ready Reserve, or overdraft protection, for your checking account. This is a low interest loan attached to your checking account which pulls money over to your checking account, usually I increments of $500, in case of a negative balance therefore causing your account to stay in the positive and not having you pay all the overdraft fees. The bank automatically withdraws a small amount ( about $30 for a $500 loan) a month from your checking a puts it back into your ready reserve account for you to use again in case your account goes negative again. Ready reserve is considered revolving credit since it is not a term loan and is continuous and can be borrowed from again and again. Getting Finance After College: Graduate Loans

Tuesday, December 18th, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Mary_Wise]Mary Wise Another thing to point out is that student loans come with relatively low interest rates especially if you take into account that these loans are unsecured and unsecured loans usually come with very high interest rates. The only drawback is that given all the concessions the lender offers the applicant, the loan term tends to be extremely long and thus the loan will be paid off in many years. Student Loans Students usually owe around $30000 when they graduate. However, since this debt comes in the form of student loans, it wont start being repaid till the student joins the workforce. Besides, the interest rate is low enough not to become an issue and comparatively its lower than credit cards, personal loans, and generally any other type of unsecured loan. These loans usually have an agreement as to the percentage of earnings above a certain minimum that will be destined to repay the loan. So, there is not much risk for the borrower, since till he joins the workforce and starts earning enough money, he wont have to repay the loan. However, this also implies that the loan keeps accumulating interests and that his relation with the lender may last decades. After Graduation Loans Also known as Graduate loans, these loans become available when student loans are no longer a possibility. There are many expenses associated with this time of a student life when he needs to abandon a lifestyle to adopt another one. The transition can be very money consuming till everything gets settled. These loans can also be used to pay off student debt and sometimes even as a form of student debt consolidation. But you need to remember that this kind of loan has higher interest rates than student loans and thus it should only be used if strictly necessary. Summing up Student Loans, being as accessible as they are can turn out to be a dangerous thing. If you cant control yourself, you can end up owing so much money that youll be repaying your debt for many years to come. Graduate loans are definitely a possibility for those who cannot request a student loan anymore but the decision to apply for a graduate loan has to be much meditated. If you choose to apply for a graduate loan, be prepared to put aside a considerable amount of money from your income for the next couple of years as youll need it to repay outstanding loans and the new graduate loan installments. Always remember that any concessions you receive for being a student will cease as soon as you graduate and then your financial responsibilities will increase, therefore the advice is to be prepared. Russian Girls Dating and Romance - St. Valentine’s and 8th March

Sunday, December 16th, 2007

By Mishael Mordinson I am sure you know a lot about the St. Valentines Day, its history, customs and traditions. I am going to tell you about a holiday that is considered to be the most romantic time of the year in Russia and Ukraine- the 8th of March or International Womens Day, funny enough, it seems like it is celebrated only in FSU countries! You perfectly know that gifts and other signs of attention are extremely important in relationship, of course it is important to make your sweet heart feel wanted and loved every day, but there are several days in the year that are special! Couple of words about where it came from. Maybe you will be surprised to hear that it all started early spring 1857, when the female workers of textile industry in New York have marched the Manhattan. They were demanding higher salaries, better work traditions and equal rights for women. Of course the demonstration was dispersed, but it made lots of noise. Some 50 years after that during the Conference of Socialistic Women of the World in Copenhagen the day of 8th March was named the International Womens Day. In Russia it became a custom to celebrate this holiday since 1913. It is also sometimes called the holiday of spring. The gifts and flowers are given to all the women you know on that day. To your loved ones, mothers, sisters, colleagues etc. Many companies throw parties on that day and everybody is in great mood. In married couples men often do all the home chores on that day and try to make the life of their wives easy and pleasant. One can say that the 8th of March combines St. Valentines Day and Mothers Day, I would agree on that, and this is what makes it really big, there is nobody left aside, everybody is either getting a gift or giving it! If you are dating a Russian or Ukrainian girl you must give her a gift on that day, even something little will please her, just make her feel special on that day. Prepare a breakfast or send her a beautiful postcard. You know that Russian girls love when men are romantic, make her feel off the planet with you! I hope the article was helpful and it will help you explore deeper Russian culture and customs. Bankruptcy Explained

Friday, December 14th, 2007

By Mark Lambie Whether or not we want it to or mean it to, often times our debt can become out of hand, to the point that we can no longer control it. It does not occur because we expect it, it occurs because we live in an age where credit is everything. In fact, many people do not even accept cash for a variety of things, for example, online shopping. All online shopping opportunities takes credit cards only. We will use credit for so many different items, that before we know it we begin to become overwhelmed and have the inability to pay the credit when the time comes. When it comes to bankruptcy, this means that you are legally declaring that you have the inability to pay your creditors. Bankruptcy was formed in efforts to allow the debtor to have a fresh start within their life, this will allow the debtor to be relieved of most of the debts they have incurred. Additionally, bankruptcy gives creditors some rights as well, because it can allow them to recoup some of their money to the extent of the debtors ability to pay. There are various laws in place that allow the debtor to make use of non-exempt property in efforts to pay the creditors. Many pieces of your property will be exempt; however, it is possible that you have some non-exempt items. Within the United Kingdom, the word Bankruptcy only applies to partnerships and individuals. Corporations are required to declare other types of legal insolvency such as administration, liquidation, and administrative receivership. The typical bankruptcy procedures last no more than one full year, often less depending upon the trustee in bankruptcy. When a person has filed for bankruptcy, all credit collection must end. Companies are not allowed to pursue, call, mail, visit, repossess, or otherwise sue the debtor, for the purposes of debt collection. If a company chooses to do so, they will likely be held responsible by the court of law and to the debtor. Bankruptcy is to be used as a last result; there are many other steps you could take to help eliminate your debt prior to filing for bankruptcy. Other options available to you include debt consolidation, credit counseling, and negotiation with your creditors, make a formal proposal with the creditors, and learn to manage your money yourself. It is important that you fully investigate all of your options and learn what steps you can take to obtain a debt free life. The Secret To Healthier Plants? Let’s Ask My Grandfather

Thursday, December 13th, 2007

By Steve Boulden My Grandfather was an old school farmer from way back who depended on his crops for his living. He, like farmers then and now, knew that the secret to optimum yield and plant health begins in the soil. If the soil was just right and other conditions were favorable, his yields were higher and he could make a descent living that would get his family through the rest of the year. My grandfather also knew that the condition and health of the soil directly influenced the plants ability to resist disease and insects. Having to use any type of insecticide on his farm was virtually unheard of. And yet, he had no insect problem. So the question of what is the secret to healthier and more beautiful plants should really begin with the question of what is the secret to healthy soil. Many factors will influence the quality and condition of your soil. And at the top of the list is the ph (acidity or alkalinity) of soil. Most folks have heard about soil ph but very few know how important it is and the difference it makes in color, yield, flavor, heath, etc. If the ph of soil is incorrect, nutrient uptake is limited or restricted altogether. It doesnt matter how much fertilizer you add, the plants wont be able to use it efficiently. Iron, for instance, becomes locked into soil that is too alkaline. It wont matter how much iron you add, the plant wont be able to pick it up and use it. If growing is not optimal, plants start to yellow or look sickly, and there is no obvious signs of insects, the first place to start is by testing the soil. In granddads day, folks would actually taste the soil to test the ph. If it was sweet, it was acid. If it was sour, it was alkaline. Fortunately for us, we dont have to go out to our gardens and eat dirt. Modern test kits are available at garden centers, theyre inexpensive and easy to use. Most plants prefer a slightly acid to neutral soil. Neutral is a 7 on the scale while slightly acid is a 6 on the scale. And I did say most plants. Some plants do prefer more acid soil and some do like alkaline. Its a good idea to know a little bit about what youre growing. Now, my grandfather had a magic ingredient that he continually added to the soil. This magic ingredient would actually create healthy soil, buffer perfect ph, and facilitate proper nutrient uptake. It also made plants not so tasty to insects. A magic ingredient? Not hardly. A lost art and science. Definitely. His magic ingredient was that he dutifully returned everything back into the soil. Everything from plant wastes to manure to kitchen scraps. His magic ingredient was nothing more than pure natural organics. If a soil was found to be out of balance, it was a matter of a simple adjustment. A little bit of sulfur to buffer alkalinity or a little bit of lime to buffer acid and also tilling in more bulk organics. Farmers and gardeners back then couldnt rely on a lot of chemical fertilizers because they were either unavailable or they simply couldnt afford them. Oh Im sure they would have liked to have had them since it would have made life much easier. However, what we didnt use then that we do use now is why they had healthier plants, higher yields, better tasting food, more nutritional food, and even more colorful flowers. Again, the difference is organics. Organically prepared soil eventually becomes stable and naturally balance in ph. All necessary plant nutrients become available and plants are able to use what they need and only when they need it. An excesses of individual nutrients in organic soil will actually be buffered and not do the plants any harm. Plants grown in organic soils are naturally more resistant to insects and disease. Theyre simply healthier and insects and disease generally attacks plants that are already unhealthy to begin with. Chemical fertilizers are like a quick shot in the arm and plants will greedily take in more than they need. This weakens a plants ability to resist disease and insects. Then, of course, youre going to need insecticides. However, healthy organic soil is also full of millions of beneficial bacteria and micro-organisms. Chemical fertilizers and insecticides will kill these very necessary elements and weaken plants immune systems even further. And so in using chemicals, we create a never ending no win cycle. Creating organic soil will take a little effort and wont happen overnight. It will take a few seasons. However, the rewards will far outweigh the effort. And eventually youll find that you spend less time taking care of your garden and more time enjoying it. To begin with, start saving those leaves and grass clippings. This is a wonderful no cost resource. If you dont have any of your own, Im sure your neighbors will give you some of theirs. You can compost them or shred them as top dressing that will eventually break down into the soil. Ill also suggest two books to you. Rodales Complete Book Of Composting and Rodales Encyclopedia Of Organic Gardening. These two books alone will give you all the knowledge you need for composting and organic gardening. Other secret ingredients are all around you, are usually free, and are often found right in your own trash can. Kitchen scraps, coffee grounds, and even some papers can be composted. Have a friend with a stable? Some folks will let you clean out their stable just for doing it. This is a very inexpensive way to add a lot of bulk organics very quickly. Keep in mind though that manure is better composted as it is extremely alkaline due to a high content of urea. On top of all of this there is an endless list of organic materials, mineral dusts, and rock fertilizers available through organic gardening stores and sites. So there you have it. I did learn something from my grandfather. And so did you. Written by Steve Boulden. Relationship Advice - Holidays and Love

Thursday, December 13th, 2007

By Rori Gwynne The Holidays are slipping away from me. Im buzzing, speeding, moving faster than sound waves. Brain on overdrive, pedal to the metal. Its Hanukkah. Its Christmas. Its Kwanzaa. Its New Years. All at once. I see my entire life in rewind. My whole life crammed into two weeks. I remember my childhood and the Hanukkah candles, my single years with the Hanukkah candles and the Christmas tree because I thought it was pretty and festive and fun, Christmas in New York with a potted plant. Then married years of collecting ornaments and my daughter throwing icicles around the room. Years ago, we gave up the tree lot Christmas tree because of allergies, then we gave up the living Christmas tree because of the same allergies, then we gave up the fake tree (which I really loved the whole thing was one big decoration), and this year I forgot to buy Hanukkah candles. The parties are like networking meetings. Everyone has business cards. Even family get-togethers feel like replays, like obligations, like the children are all leaving home and this is the only way we can see them. Some of us are giddy. Some of us are blue. Some of us are lifted up by whose birthday and whose steadfastness were celebrating. Some of us are tired. Im just, well, feeling. Its hard to be or feel any one thing in the middle of all this celebrating, cooking, cleaning, putting off work, missing appointments, going out of town, caring for and being visitors and houseguests. Its hard to be any one thing or feel any one thing ever. To me, this whirlwind of tradition, ritual, repetition, counting of years, remembering where we were at that Christmas, that Hanukkah, that Kwanzaa is a swirl of emotion that ties me to my past, propels me into my future, and makes me stand right here, right now, awestruck, watching the air fly past my eyes. And it makes me love myself and all people just a little more because I cant cling to the past or dream about the future or pretend to not be here. Its like a vortex. Its past, present and future the same for everyone. Were all connected here not by religion or tradition or even the start of yet another year, but by the fact that were all tied to this season of both celebrating and lamenting everything all these things bring to the surface for us to feel. All at once. In any given moment, there are infinite possibilities of feeling. Turn to your desk. All those things sitting on it. Look at them. Touch one at a time. Doesnt each have a different feel, a different memory? I look at the picture of my dog, Popcorn, who passed away four years ago, and still feel a wave of sadness and regret for what I didnt do for her, and then my new dog, Hazel, three years old, touches my shoe with her face, and a wave of delight goes through me. The rubber band on the desk reminds me of something old, and it feels like something fun, and the air smells like flowers, and its cold in here. All at once. Feelings morph. Theyre liquid. They can go from unbearably bereft grief to stunningly tingly pleasure in less than the blink of an eye. We dont have to stay in our dungeons of loneliness or our prisons of pain, or our clouds of infatuation. We can move through it all, cycle through it, round in a circle or up and down or side to side, and swim in the Soup of our own emotions, our own souls treasure chest. If youre feeling blue, its not who you are. Its just the way you feel right now. Its okay to look at the cat with love in the middle of feeling grief. Its okay to cry and then laugh, to look at a page from the news in disbelief and dread, and then laugh over the movie section. This is what we do best, us humans. We feel. What it is about the Holidays, for me, is that its a season of contradiction, confusion, old and new, real and fake, love and emptiness. Its happy. Were up. Were celebrating. Its sad, were down, were blue. It lights up the choice we get to make at every moment. If we have Happy Holidays and The Holiday Blues, if we give to those less fortunate and feel unfortunate, if we give and try to remember how to receive, if I am exhilarated and at the same time terrified, which do I choose to believe? What do I focus on? People who are heroic seem to absolutely get, and try to teach us, that there is joy in life, and that, even in the most desperate of moments, its good to focus on the joy even while youre experiencing the pain. So, while you focus on joy, remember what you remember and see what you see and feel what you feel about pain. While you focus on peace, remember and see and feel what you experience as chaos. While you focus on love, dont avoid anything you feel, even if its fear. Travel across the landscape of your life focusing on what feels good - peace and love and joy - and know that, even though pain and chaos and fear are always along for the ride, you can ride with them without getting stuck in them. Its the Holidays. Touch things, touch people, be human, receive love, and give love to yourself. Every moment is a new memory. Whatever yours are, theyre yours to focus on, to remember or forget, to live for or with or through, to keep or toss, to stay mired in or use to jump into something wonderful. Whatever you choose at any given moment, I wish you love, happiness and a whole lot of fun. Household Cleaning Tips - Smart Ways to Dust Your Home

Wednesday, December 12th, 2007

By Karen Fritscher-Porter Any household cleaning tips would be remiss to not cover how to clear the dust in your home. Here’s how to start cleaning dust from your home and where to look for it, including those less obvious spots often missed during typical household cleaning operations. Grab a Dust Cloth - Give an after life to old or torn cotton garments by turning them into dust cloths. This could be anything from old socks to cotton sheets or pillowcases that were destined for the trash. The soft cotton is less likely to scratch most surfaces during dusting. It’s a good idea to pre-treat the cloth with a dusting solution or furniture polish so dust will better stick to it. Or use a static dusting cloth. Stores sell dusting and polishing surface cleaner solutions for this household cleaning chore such as Endust. Using this method, you’ll have less dust flying through the air to resettle elsewhere. Start at the Top - Gravity causes things to fall downward. So it’s a good idea to start at the top when dusting or cleaning anything in your home and work your way downward. That means if you’re dusting a book shelf, start with the shelf top, then the top shelf and work your way down to the bottom shelf and trim. A professional feather duster will work well on the tops and bindings of books on the shelves. Don’t forget about the book shelf sides. Slide a broom handle or similar pole with a static dusting cloth wrapped around its end behind the bookcase too. That’s where a lot of cobwebs settle. Later you can use the edge cleaning attachment of the vacuum to reach back there to the base board and floor to grab fallen dust and cobwebs. While you’re at it, use your makeshift pole handle duster to grab dust and cobwebs sticking to the higher portions of your wall, especially the angles and corners where the wall meets the ceiling. An Overlooked Spot - Ceiling fans collect lots of dust, especially the tops of the fan blades. Since this isn’t obvious, you want to make a special point to remember to dust these fan blades periodically. Otherwise, every time you operate the fan, you’re blowing that dust around. Consider using a special dusting brush that stores sells for just a few bucks for this job. A ceiling fan duster usually has a telescoping pole handle—the extension is so you can reach the fan from the floor. It also has two soft fabric paint roller shaped style brushes on the end that slide over each side of the blade simultaneously (one part on the top and one on the bottom). Brush end styles may vary. Some of these also may come with a little dust catcher feature attached to capture the dust as you clean each fan blade. But if you’re expecting a lot of dirt and dust to fall, just lay some newspaper on the floor to catch the bulk of it. However, much of the dirt and grime will stick to the end of the brush and you can carefully shake it off outside or hold it inside a garbage bag (top closed) and shake it. You also can rinse the brush clean. These are just a few household cleaning tips to capture and clear dust in your home.
