By Anthony Smith The abomination of Desolation.There is a misconception of the prophecy’s of Christ, Daniel, Isaiah, and Ezekiel concerning the time of the abomination of desolation. There have been many desolations and times of desolation in Israel. Many of these caused much hardships and even death to the House of Israel. The Babylonian Captivity, Jer 25:11 And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years. Jer 44:22 So that the LORD could no longer bear, because of the evil of your doings, and because of the abominations which ye have committed; therefore is your land a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as at this day. Ezr 9:7 Since the days of our fathers have we been in a great trespass unto this day; and for our iniquities have we, our kings, and our priests, been delivered into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity, and to a spoil, and to confusion of face, as it is this day. The House of Israel has rejected Christ as the Messiah and are still under the law to a point. The Daily sacrifices have been put aside because of the natural law of man, but they justify this by the verse, Obedience is better than Sacrifice. Mohammedanism(Islam) is not older than Christianity nor the Jewish religion, but it will play and important part in the desolation of Israel as spoken of by Christ. Therefore, Rameses, nor the Caesars of Rome, have not fulfilled prophecy of the end days. Many use this part of Mark 13:14, to justify calling Caesar the anti-Christ for He had an image of Himself constructed and forced many to worship his image as God, but there were Kings before and after that have done the same thing. But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not;, The point of the matter with all these false god images is that they never fulfilled the prophecy’s of the end days such as these; Rev 13:13-14; And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.Rev 13:15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. If you frequently have those late night cravings for your mother’s mini apple pies or unique kind of chocolate-chip cookies, now that you do not live at your parent’s house anymore, perhaps it is time to give in to her advice and spend some quality time with her in the kitchen. By helping her create your favorite meal or dessert, you will gain much more than copying her cooking instructions. You will actually advance your cooking skills and bond with her. This is not an easy deal and you know it. Most likely, you will have to hear that old same story that she has no idea where she has put that piece of paper containing all the “secret” ingredients and measurements for the specific recipe-it is likely that it did not ever existed. But, if you sound serious, she will probably ask you to join her next time she is about to create that tasteful delight of your choice, so you can take a peek or two during the cooking preparation process. Since you have a phone (RAZR) that has a very good internal antenna, by design, my thoughts are that either the buildings in the city are blocking your signal or the area is saturated with users and T-Mobile either does not have enough towers and/or is not partnering with Cingular in your area to get you more coverage. Without that specific information, I can tell you that if you are in the city in the eastern part of the US, you will most likely get the best coverage from Verizon. This is their “home” territory and they have built it up quite nicely. If you are in the West, you might want to try Sprint or Cingular and in the South, Cingular then Sprint and Verizon. It’s really based on the coverage and the number of towers, since if you have always had this problem with your RAZR phone, then it is most likely the carrier. All four providers will tell you that they have the fewest complaints and several have done “independent” surveys that they pass off as unbiased, but since they pay for the surveys, they are rarely unbiased. In general, I would have to say that Verizon has the least amount of customer complaints. If you only need to use your phone in the US and their coverage is good in your area, then they are a good choice. If you need to be able to take your phone abroad, then I would suggest Cingular. Currently, Cingular has the largest US footprint (since the merger of AT&T Wireless) and the most roaming partners internationally. Because Cingular has a 30 day return policy, you could also try them and see if your experience improves. They are GSM, like T-Mobile, so if GSM is the issue in your area, then you may not have a better experience. Verizon and Sprint have 15 day return policies, so you can also try them without worry, just for a shorter time. I think you are going to be able to tell right away. It looks like the clear winner in terms of coverage is Sprint. They have very solid coverage in your entire zip code according to their coverage maps. Verizon would be second best, third is Cingular and a distant fourth (as you are already well aware…is T-Mobile). It appears that this area is better served by the providers who have CDMA technology, versus the GSM ones and that may be because of the terrain. Since your apartment would be on the Sprint network, that might work very well for replacing your landline phone. If you eat a healthy diet of fruits, vegetables, protein, nuts, and healthy fats, you will look great, lose weight, and have an abundance of energy. And let me say that again: There is no such thing as a negative calorie food. You might have heard of “so-called” negative calorie foods. Well, these foods don’t have magical properties. Foods contain calories. You don’t burn more calories by eating food. It just doesn’t happen that way. To achieve weight loss, you must eat fewer calories than you need. Add strength and interval training to your diet, and you’ll lose fat and sculpt your body. If you eat too many calories, from any food source, you won’t lose fat. This statement is false: “There are certain foods that show negative calorie effect because the body has to expand more energy to extract calories from these foods. The negative calorie foods need more calories to break down the foods and digest than the calories the foods actually contain.” Here’s a list of so-called negative calorie foods: Asparagus, broccoli, beets, cabbage, cauliflower, celery, cucumber, carrot, garlic, papaya, spinach, turnip, zucchini, apples, oranges, lettuce, grapefruit, pineapples, strawberries, and raspberries. All of these are great foods and should be included in your weight loss nutrition diet plan. However, they don’t burn more calories than they contain. If they did, how would we have 800-pound gorillas? They eat bananas and other vegetation, but still manage to grow from the calories in these foods. Do you see how ridiculous this “negative calorie” food claim is yet? Here’s another example. Let’s say you were stranded on a deserted island. And all you had to eat were apples. But since apples are a negative calorie food, you would actually waste away faster by eating apples, than if you didn’t eat anything at all! Now does that make any sense? Of course not. You can’t starve to death by eating apples. And nor can you burn fat by eating apples. There are no magical calorie-burning, fat burning foods. There is no such thing as a negative calorie food. The bottom line: Eat these foods because they provide you with nutrients, fiber, and an appetite suppressing effect. Don’t eat them because you think they are burning fat. And don’t start thinking that eating an apple will cancel out that piece of chocolate you just had. It doesn’t work that way. At best we can read or hear about what someone has to say on a particular topic, but even that has limited potential to convey the sum of the person’s knowledge. There are three basic concepts that I think are important for anyone attempting to lose weight to know about and take into consideration. Adequate protein intake is the first. I think a lot of people trying to lose weight end up on a highly restricted diet especially during the initial phases of fad dieting. Those initial phases may produce limited short term results but at the expense of the smarter weight loss principles. Not getting enough protein is asking for the loss of muscle tissue. Lean muscle mass is not what you are trying to lose. What good is it to lose weight if you have also lost the tone of your muscles, affecting the appearance of your body? Resting muscle tissue burns more calories than any other kind of tissue in your body. So you want to keep as much of your muscle tissue as possible. The body needs protein about once every eight hours or so. The body, if it finds itself short on amino acids will begin to steal those amino acids primarily from your muscle tissue. This will result in the loss of muscle mass. Consider that to be bad. The second important concept is getting enough essential fats. I’ve added this because people dieting are likely to think they need to avoid fat. In general that might seem like good advice, but not when it comes to essential fats. Your body needs them for multiple reasons and you don’t want to go without them. There are so many reasons why essential fats are important to your body. The term essential when used in conjunction with nutritional terms basically means that it is a substance that your body needs but cannot make on its own. Since the body cannot make essential fats on its own, you must get them from your diet. Do not skimp on essential fats while dieting or at any other time. They are necessary for the health of your body. The third item is understanding when your body actually taps into its fat reserves. Because if you understand this point, it may help you lose weight more effectively. The liver keeps a store of short term energy. Only when that store is near depletion will the body start looking at the fat reserves, the ones you want to get at. Therefore, you can see that it is very counter productive to eat a large carbohydrate supply before working out. During exercise, the short term storage supply needs to be used up before your body will start to burn fat. Let’s recap three important points to aid in achieving your weight loss goals in a healthier way. Insure an adequate protein supply. Insure an adequate intake of essential fats. Finally, become sensitive to the short term storage energy supply in the liver and plan exercise accordingly.
